Study Tour to Australia 12-20 July, 2010

This was a self-financed and school-based study tour organized by the School early in September 2009 and fourteen students (ten form fours and four form sixes) who were self-nominated and screened by their writing and teacher recommendation for this study tour for a 7-day land package with St Paul¡¦s School (international) Brisbane, between 13th and 19th July, 2010. To all 14 students, this was their first arrival in Australia and they were well prepared with orientation and group research before their trip. They were all very excited to meet their homestays and their buddies and had fun with them. The most striking experiences went to homestays, Aussie Zoo and Movie World. Some would even say they¡¦d like to extend their stay for up to a month as they really had a wonderful time for independence and culture in Brisbane. They got 5 ESL (English as a second language) classes, 2 integration lessons with buddies and an Aboriginal art lesson for cultural understanding. They applied what they learned in their ESL lessons in the morning for their daytime excursions in Southbank river cruise, Science Centre, Aussie zoo, Movie World, Sunday host family days and surely their homestay dinner talks.
