Warm Congratulations to Our Distinguished Alumnus Professor Chak Chung Ray CHEUNG on Receiving the National Award for Excellence in Innovation

Professor Chak Chung Ray CHEUNG, a distinguished alumnus of our university and Associate Provost (Digital Learning) of the City University of Hong Kong, has been awarded the Fourth National Award for Excellence in Innovation Certificate in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of post-quantum cryptography. This national-level honour, jointly conferred by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and other authorities, is a major accolade in the scientific and technological community and carries exceptional significance.

 

Professor CHEUNG has long devoted himself to research on quantum cryptography and information security chips. Addressing the security challenges of the post-quantum era, he has achieved multiple internationally leading results in key areas such as algorithm hardware implementation and IoT security protection, making significant contributions to the information security of national critical infrastructure. His research not only demonstrates academic foresight but also actively advances industrial deployment and standardisation processes.

 

Professor CHEUNG’s accomplishments bring great honour to our school and serve as a source of pride and an inspiration to all students and alumni. To celebrate his rigorous scholarship and his commitment to serving the nation through science and technology, we extend our heartfelt congratulations.
